WHY IS MY BABY CRYING

Image
A crying baby can make any parent feel desperate, especially first time parents. It can be frustrating when you are willing to do anything for her but only if you could figure out what is that she wants(I remember myself saying to my newborn in desperation ‘aleen, ill do whatver you want in a second but please help me understand, what do you need’). Here are few tips that made our lives easier and can help parents of otherwise healthy baby : •Crying is how babies communicate. You just have to interpret it. •STAY CALM: it’s difficult but very important to have control on your nerves. Those nerve wrecking screams can drive you crazy. But if you continue to be in that state, it will get messier on exponential rate. Baby will start screaming louder, things will start falling, suddenly phone and door bell will ring simultaneously and the ripple effect will go on. So you have to consciously remind yourself that only you have the power to calm yourself down. Take a deep breath, pu...

It’s recommended to have your bags (one for you, one for baby) packed by 34th week. Well all you really need is yourself at hospital on time. And last thing you want is additional chaos of gathering things when you are rushing to hospital in labor. To avoid that, I had ours bags prepared and in car before 34th week. Here is my list for moms to be (I am a sucker for theme, so each and everything was pink, whether it was shower gel, candle or outfits): For Labour:   •Hospital card •Socks •Nightgown (I got a long and loose granny style nightgown) •Backless slippers (that were easy to get on and off) •Travel neck pillow •Hair ties For After Birth: •M...

Using a child safety seat (car seat) is the best protection you can give your child when traveling by car.  Do not ignore it even if it’s not mandatory by law.  Here are some whys, whats and hows of bay car seat: -Very young children are especially at risk for head and spinal cord injuries because their bones and ligaments are still developing. Their heads are also proportionately larger than their necks, so the structural support system is still a little wobbly. Rear-facing seats give the best support to your child's head, neck, and spine, and prevent your child's head from being thrown away from his body in the event of a car crash. -Children are of smaller size, which makes it easier for even a relatively light bump to your car to send them flying. -Children's lower self-control; an adult knows to sit still in his or her seat. But your child may squirm in his car seat or booster seat if he is not properly secured; making him more vulnerable if you get into a...
